Our Story

Established in 1981, Hangar Five Restaurant celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2021.

The Blackerby Family purchased Hangar 5 in February 2006, and it has been family owned and operated ever since.  Celebrating the history of Bakalar Air Force Base and the airplanes who fly in, Sharon Blackerby designed a menu sure to delight adults and children alike.  Now owned and operated by Caleb Blackerby, Blackerby’s Hangar 5 Restaurant provides home style family food in a modern setting.
